Simply Safe Homemade All Purpose Cleaner (and one for granite too!)

I  don’t love using tons of chemicals around our food. I’m kind of stuck on Soft Scrub for cleaning my sink, but other than that – I like to use more natural stuff. Plus, this stuff costs PENNIES!

I’ve been using this home made spray for a while and I’m loving it. Using a spray bottle from the dollar store,  it’s inexpensive, safe around your family, and it works!

If you want a recipe for cleaning stone countertops you can REPLACE the vinegar with rubbing alcohol. You should NOT use vinegar on stone countertops!

Another reason I love this cleaner? I don’t get overly paranoid when my kids use it to help clean. (Obviously, you do not want your kids spraying this in their eyes or drinking it – so you have to judge the maturity of your own children before allowing them to clean for you.)   I also love that I’m not afraid to clean inside my fridge with it!

Another simple tip? Write the recipe on the side of the spray bottle!  Then, when it’s time to refill, you don’t have to go looking for it!

What you need for ALL PURPOSE CLEANER:

  • Large spray bottle
  • 2 Cups Warm Water
  • 1/2 Cup Distilled White Vinegar
  • 1 tsp dish soap
  • 4 tsp baking soda (optional) I will probably start omitting this, because after researching, I’m learning vinegar may be more effective without it.

What you need for GRANITE/STONE Cleaner

This can be used on appliances and as a disinfectant too!

  • Large spray bottle
  • 2 Cups Warm Water
  • 1/2 Rubbing Alcohol
  • 1 tsp dish soap

Whisk together ingredients bowl and pour into your spray bottle! Label your bottle and if you’d like, label it with what’s inside the bottle for easy refills! Inexpensive and safe for your family!
